Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Dance Artworks Gallery works with artists, specialist printing laboratories and art-shipping partners in different locations.
The dispatch point, production time and delivery method therefore vary by artwork.
1. Product-specific delivery information
Delivery information shown on the individual artwork page or confirmed by Dance Artworks Gallery for an individual order takes priority over general estimates.
Fine-art prints, limited editions, original works and customized artworks can require different production and handling times.
2. Production and dispatch
Open-edition and lab-produced prints
Many works are produced to order by specialist printing laboratories. Production time varies according to format, paper, framing and production location.
Limited editions and artist-produced works
Signing, certification, mounting or framing can extend production time. Refer to the artwork page for the relevant estimate.
Original paintings and unique works
These may ship directly from the artist, studio or gallery location and can require specialist packing or crating.
Customized and commissioned works
Production and delivery timing is agreed individually according to the project.
3. Tracking and insurance
We use tracked shipping whenever an appropriate tracked service is available.
High-value and collector works are shipped with specialist protection and insurance where this is stated on the artwork page or confirmed by the gallery.
Product-specific shipping information takes priority over general statements.
4. Delivery estimates
Delivery dates are estimates unless Dance Artworks Gallery expressly confirms a guaranteed service in writing.
Timing may be affected by production, framing, artist availability, customs procedures, destination, carrier disruption or local delivery conditions.
For time-sensitive purchases, contact office@idancecontemporary.gallery before ordering.
5. Shipping charges
Shipping charges are displayed or calculated at checkout where available.
For exceptionally large, fragile or high-value artworks, a specialist art-transport solution may need to be confirmed separately.
6. Taxes, VAT, customs and duties
Taxes and duties depend on destination, dispatch location and the relevant checkout configuration.
Where taxes or duties are collected or included at checkout, this will be shown during purchase.
International shipments may be subject to local import duties, customs charges or taxes unless expressly stated as included.
7. Delivery address
Please provide a complete and accurate shipping address and contact telephone number where requested.
If you notice an error after placing an order, contact us immediately.
Once the artwork has been handed to the carrier, changes may no longer be possible and additional carrier charges may apply.
8. Damage in transit
Inspect the artwork and packaging upon delivery.
If you notice damage, contact office@idancecontemporary.gallery as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours, with:
-
your order number
-
photographs of the artwork
-
photographs of the outer packaging
-
photographs of the internal protection
This requested reporting period does not reduce mandatory legal rights.
Please keep the packaging until the issue has been assessed, as the carrier or insurer may require it.
9. Returns
Returns and withdrawal rights are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.
Fine-art returns may require specialist packaging and transportation.
For large works that cannot normally be returned by standard post, contact the gallery before purchase if you require an estimate of potential return transport costs.
