David Perkins

Fine Art Photographer

Dance photographer

Biography

David Perkins is a photographer whose long-running work with professional dancers examines movement and the body on and off stage. His Home Stage project, developed after nearly a decade photographing dancers, portrayed classical performers in domestic settings and received broad international editorial attention.

Practice

Perkins is interested in what remains of dance when theatrical production is stripped away. In Home Stage, ordinary interiors become stages for trained bodies, bringing discipline, gesture and everyday life into the same photographic frame.

Curator's note

Dance-photography practice is externally verified. The exact DAG Ballerina, Synthesis and Togetherness attributions are coherent across the gallery catalog, but current-location and current-domain claims remain deliberately conservative until the supplied .co.uk site can be authoritatively bridged to the historical davidperkinsphotography.com identity.
