Curator’s Note
Whitebound Resonance captures two nude dancers folded into mirrored contraction on a white field. Faces hidden, backs arched, they become a single sculptural glyph rather than two portraits. The phrase is paused at a point where it is difficult to say whether the movement has just fallen inward or is about to unfold.
Within our Frames of Motion collection and the Ethereal Bodies sub-theme, this photograph sits as a quiet counterpoint to the outward arcs of works like Cloud Dancer and Cloud Halo: there the body explodes into powder and air; here the energy condenses into breath, symmetry and stillness.
