Curatorial & Aesthetic Note
In his renowned “Flocks” series, Nir Arieli turns the camera into a choreographer’s tool. Here, dancers of the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet recoil, lean and collapse into one another, yet they remain suspended in a moment that feels both charged and still. The neutral background dissolves theatre context; instead the viewer is drawn into gesture, torsion and spatial tension.
The smaller 16″ × 20″ format invites intimate contemplation in a home or studio setting.
