Dimitry Roulland
Dimitry Roulland is a French fine art photographer whose practice places dancers in the landscapes and architecture of Paris. His work creates a dialogue between movement and place — the body in conversation with the city, the river, the light. Each image is a study in the poetry of dance within the urban and natural environment.
Roulland does not photograph dancers in studios. He places them in the city — above lakes, against rooftops, within the architecture of Paris. The urban environment is not a backdrop; it is a partner. Movement and place in continuous dialogue.
Roulland is the gallery’s primary Paris-landscape artist — a distinctive voice that places dance in the urban and natural environment rather than the studio. The Blue Lake, Red, and In the Air 2.0 span square, horizontal, and aerial compositions. Open edition throughout.
